Great weather, decent winds, great turnout and wonderful facilities were the earmarks of the June cruise to Brisbane Marina, masterfully hosted by Tim McGinty. I arrived early by car to meet my crew and Tim had already set up our picnic area close to our guest docks. read

Although the weather was quite nice along the Alameda Riviera early Saturday afternoon, Ann and I ran into a different story once we entered the main part of the Bay north of the Bay Bridge. We had the typical, summer-like blowing-like-stink action in full swing, and the closer we got to the Gate, the more we were feeling the 3.4 knot flood. read

Postponed from an earlier date, this year’s Ericson Fleet One cruise to Angel Island turned out to be quite the success. The weather was unbeatable, we all had space to tie up, the food was great, and the Painkillers flowed. read

... to the World Wide Web site of Ericson Fleet One. We are
the Bay Area sailing club for Ericson owners. You'll find
plenty of information on Ericson sailboats here, as well as
following the exploits of one of the bays most active cruising
fleets.
Ericson Fleet One
is an association of owners of some of the finest sailing
yachts ever built. Ericson Fleet One was founded as Ericson
27 Fleet One, an Ericson 27
owners association, in 1974 by Terry Owen, Ron Gruenwald and
Bob Maythem. In 2004 its charter was changed to include all
Ericson yacht owners. The fleet has been an active part of
the San Francisco Bay Area sailing scene for over 30 years.
